Blackjacks, rejoice! Seoul’s “baddest” female aka 2NE1’s CL is going to make her US solo debut soon!
2NE1 was long rumoured to make a US. debut after working with Black Eyed Pea’s will.i.am for his new track “Gettin’ Dumb” last year. However, the group debunked the rumour during an interview with Billboard, stating that “there are no official plans to crossover”.
But now, 2NE1’s CL will be the first among the members to make a US solo debut under Scooter Braun next year.
According to our source, CL has already started working on various tracks that will be included in her upcoming album. A single will be released prior to the release of her US solo album as well.
After managing PSY’s debut in America, the talent manager Scooter Braun will be managing CL’s debut as a solo artiste in America. It is a highly anticipated debut as Braun also manages other international artistes including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Martin Garrix and so on.
It was reported that Braun decided to manage CL’s US debut as he was impressed by her unique fashion sense and rapping abilities.
We must say, her US solo debut came as no surprise to us because CL is already well-versed in English, having performed alongside Rita Ora. She’s also a friend to some international DJs and artistes such as Skrillex, Pharrell, Muse, and so on.
CL is expected to make her solo debut in early Spring 2015.
