When we heard that French-bistro-styled YEAST Boulangerie has opened their doors, how could we resist not wanting to check it out? What more with knowing that the bistronomy (a term derived from “bistro” and “gastronomy”) was opened by Christophe Gros, an artisan baker from Lyon, France.
It doesn’t get any more authentic than that!
Simple – to offer a more approachable French bistro cuisine and to share his culinary expertise at more affordable prices. YEAST offers an array of mouth-watering sweet and savoury tarts, croissants, and pastries like Le Tumeric Hazelnut Batard, Le Croissant aux Amandes, Le Pain au Chocolate Blanc, and La Taste Fraise-Pistache, to name a few. But their signature is their traditional rustic-style French breads from their Boulangerie, which is created with natural, organic yeast using locals fruits.
On the Bistro side, YEAST will also feature signature dishes like Boeuf Bourguignon; tender braised beef short ribs with red wine with root vegetable puree, and crispy fried onions, Foie Gras de Canard; Duck foie gras terrine, port – balsamic & fruit reduction, brioche toast and Frangipane aux Poires; a Warm Almond & Pear tart with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Essentially, YEAST combines the old and the new. It is set to be a foodie favourite that will appeal to the masses, as it is comfortable yet chic, and has a menu that boasts delicious modern twists to classic French cuisine. The aroma of freshly baked bread alone, wafting through their open doors will surely draw in the crowd.
