Comedy scene favourite Kuah Jenhan will stage “Like This, Like Dad”, a weekend Father’s Day special this June at PJ Live Arts, Jaya One. This one-hour show will be a departure from Jenhan’s previous stand-up comedy fare. Expect sentimental laugh-out-loud dad-themed monologues inspired by nostalgia and lessons from the comedian’s late father — be it good, bad or ridiculous!

“Dads in the audience will finally hear what we’re really thinking when they claim to be the best drivers, gadgets geeks and love gurus!”, Jenhan said. “But this is not just a show about my dad, it is a show about fathers. It’s just that my strongest reference is my father. I realise now I am ‘Like This’ because I am ‘Like Dad’.”

Recollect all the little nuances that made growing up in Malaysia in the ’80s and ’90s so memorable. Hear Jenhan’s touching memories of how his father feared to see him fail. Laugh at his relatable tale of how dads have a knack for pointing out the obvious (especially while driving). But laughter aside, Jenhan hopes “Like This, Like Dad” will remind the audience to appreciate the art of fatherhood.

Deets are as follows:

Date: 15th June 2013 (Saturday) at 9pm and 16th June 2013 (Sunday) at 5pm

Kuah Jenhan Like This Like Dad

I want audiences to go home having learnt something about themselves. This show also solves the problem of what gifts to buy for Father’s Day. So procrastinators and people who have trouble buying gifts should come see this show!
