Four more sleeps till the biggest New Year’s Eve party of the year. Slated to happen on 31st December 2012 at Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam, the BlackBerry Music Mania Concert and Carnival (#BBMM) is expecting up to 5,000 attendees. All set to get their socks rocked off by the line up of acts.

#BBMM will feature the ever-popular band from Indonesia, Sheila On 7, local rock scene heavyweights Hujan and Bunkface as well as the country’s foremost hip-hop family, Kartel (featuring Joe Flizzow, Altimet, SonaOne, and Ila Damiaa).

Last week, we spoke to local band Bunkface and they shared with us what fans can expect from their #BBMM New Year’s Eve gig:

Hey! How is it going? We heard that Bunkface has been super busy..

“Hey what’s up guys! Well, we’ve been touring across the country for our shows as we just launched our new album last July titled, ‘Bunk Not Dead’. We also just relaunched it few weeks ago – but this time with ‘augmented reality’ features in it. Go check it out!”

Bunkface has come a long & far way since 2005. What are the aspects, would you say, that contributed to your mainstream success?

“We’re just doing what we love, writing good songs, produce quality products, and of course with strategic planning by our team. Thanks to all our Bunkers (our fans) that always be there to support us. We love them so much.”

What would you say was your most memorable gig and why?

“MTV World Stage 2010! We performed in front of 17,000 awesome fans and shared the stage with A-list artists like Katy Perry , Tokio Hotel, and Wonder Girls.”

How would your upcoming performance at BlackBerry Music Mania stand out from all of your other performances?

“We always make sure the crowd would have a good rocking time whenever we take over the stage! We’ve got a special set all planned out for this New Year’s Eve party. You don’t want to miss it. So be there to find out.”
