Samsung Malaysia Electronics, a leading global mobile phone provider, held an exclusive VIP party in conjunction with the Samsung GALAXY Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition smartphone. Themed “Celebrating BFFs” (Best Friends Forever), the event had crowds of friends coming together to celebrate their friendship in an occasion to remember.

The Samsung GALAXY Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition is an extension of the original GALAXY Y model. This device comes with a bundle of new features such as its customised Hello Kitty user interface which allows users a different and exciting experience from its predecessor, the GALAXY Y.

Furthermore, the customised Hello Kitty ringtone and wallpaper will give an extra dimension to users of the GALAXY Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition. They will be reminded of their BFFs who are using the same device, anytime they receive a phone call or anytime their home screen pops up.

More than just a run-of-the-mill device event, there were plenty of attractions on hand to build an atmosphere fitting for its crowd of female teenagers. In the various experiential zones, fans indulged themselves in a manicure makeover, while some tried the airbrush tattoo booth.

Alongside, there was a “Best Dressed Competition” for everyone at the event whereby the five most creative costumes inspired by the device were rewarded with a pair of Samsung GALAXY Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition smartphones to be shared between the winner and their best friend.

The lucky participants to hold exclusive passes to the event enjoyed a special 3D screening of the animated fantasy-adventure film, “Rise of the Guardians“.

The Samsung GALAXY Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition, priced at RM419, has been available since 26th November 2012 and can be purchased through all Samsung Mobile Brand Shops.
