House Of The Dragon x Merrell Footwear Collection
George R.R. Martin has once again captured the minds of the people, as the masses are truly smitten with the latest series, “House of the Dragon”. And with its second season rolling out, there’s no time like the present for American footwear brand Merrell to roll out its sneaker collab based on the hit drama.
Merrell is releasing three trainers in honour of the Targaryen, Hightower and Velaryon houses for those who want to further celebrate the show. A dragon trio lace holder, a family crest at the sockliner, embossed dragon scale detailing, and a weathered midsole are just a few of the distinctive details on each of the kicks.
The House Targaryen pair shines brightly in yellow, as it takes on and wraps Merrell’s signature Agility Peak 5, making it look exquisitely regal, a fitting trait for those who possess the blood of the dragon.
The Moab Speed 2, meanwhile, is dressed in teal for the House Hightower, which is not only a perfect colour for those whose noble house descended from a line of seafarers, but also those who will light the way.
Completing the lineup is Moab 3, which carries the banner of House Velaryon in a deep crimson, with hints of gold and orange that emphasise the ferocity and strength of this noble clan.
The House Targaryen-themed Agility Peak 5 will be available on 17th August for US$170 (~RM774), marking the start of the House of the Dragon x Merrell footwear collection. Following this, on 25th August, the House Hightower version of the Moab Speed 2 will be available for US$170 (~RM774). Lastly, the House Velaryon Moab 3 hits shelves on 7th September for US$140 (~RM638).
SAN SAN GEAR x ASICS GEL-TERRAIN
SAN SAN GEAR, a rising South Korean label known for its technical detailing and panelling, has quickly established itself on the domestic scene. While the brand is still expanding internationally, people from all over the world will be able to see its first project with ASICS.
The first version features are a black body and blue accents, with hints of blackish-blue details that are scattered throughout the shoe that subtly bring two distinct colours together. The second iteration has a much more vibrant green on grey colour palette that adds a much brighter appearance to the shoe, with a kiss of brown located at the soles.
The third variant has a green on green colour palette that takes the dark body of the first pair of shoes and blends it with lighter green accents to make the design pop — perfect for those who like dark but not outright black shoes.
All three pairs feature the standard toggle lacing system that ASICS GEL-TERRAIN is known for. The “SAN SAN GEAR” brand is featured near the lateral heel.
SAN SAN GEAR will bring their three-part GEL-TERRAIN collaboration to South Korean stores on 9th August. After that, a global release through a few retailers will unfold, including at HBX.
