Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial
The German athletic apparel brand adidas has always held itself at the pinnacle of footwear performance. For one hundred years, the brand has produced nothing but consistently dependable sportswear, both in performance and in simplistic elegance.
However, if you’re looking for a more runway-friendly shoe that can still slay in the court, then the Los Angeles-based Sporty & Rich is here to change that with the new Handball Spezial pack. Coming in a trio of dazzling colours, this godly collaboration is meant to elevate its serious silhouette with an elegant look.
Available later this Spring, you will be treated to a “Dark Green,” “Sharp Red,” and “Night Indigo” colour palette, each offering its own monochromatic suede base with matching hairy suede overlays by the heel, eyelets, and toebox.
Of course, across all three colourways, the iconic three stripes remain, with a clean white paintjob in order to better contrast with a dark background and gum midsole and outsole. Tying it all together are equally bright white laces and heel tab, with white stitches all over the shoe for good measure. Topping it all off, the sneakers have numerous gold details scattered throughout its body, predominantly featuring the brand of the fashion juggernauts.
Sporty & Rich x adidas Handball Spezial will be available for purchase later this year at adidas’s official website, retailing for US$120 (~RM537).
xVESSEL x NDPD G.O.P. LOW
Sporty is one thing, but lighting a fire with every step is another. This is something the upstart brand, New Directions to the Parallel Dimensions, is looking to do with its special collab with Van Ness Wu’s xVESSEL.
Built upon the G.O.P. LOW silhouette, this special creation features a deconstructed design on top of an all-black canvas upper with frayed edges for that dazzling flare that will make anyone envious. Contrasting with this though are clean streaks of white all over the body, be it the outsole, laces, the aforementioned frayed edges, as well as the insole, creating an aesthetically clean visual contrast all over the footwear.
However, the main attraction is the bold violet rubber that adds a splash of colour on the toe cap, heels, and the side of the shoe; the last among the three is particularly daring as it comes in hotrod flames. This naturally culminates in xVESSEL’s unconventional design language that always features a hybrid look, that will undoubtedly be the talk of the streets.
The xVESSEL x NDPD G.O.P. LOW will retail for SG$288 (~RM949) and will be available for purchase at Limited Edt’s website later in the year.
