ASICS GEL-K1011 “Live Oak”
ASICS and Sneaker Politics are joining forces for an exclusive release—the GEL-K1011 “Live Oak”. Paying tribute to Louisiana’s iconic oak trees, this design captures the spirit of endurance and strength, a nod to the state’s deep-rooted connection with nature and resilience through challenges.
The GEL-K1011, which debuted last year, combines elements from several ASICS classics—the GEL-KAYANO 5, 6, 10, and GEL-CUMULUS 17—resulting in a silhouette that blends stability, cushioning, and bold aesthetics. This latest version, “Live Oak,” takes on an earth-inspired palette featuring olive mesh, brown and taupe suede overlays, and hints of golden yellow for contrast.
Adding a modern touch, semi-translucent blue stripes run across the sides, complemented by an off-white midsole and a soft purple outsole that ties the look together. Built for both comfort and everyday wear, the sneaker perfectly balances performance with storytelling while staying rooted in Louisiana’s heritage.
