Apple Store The Exchange TRX Preview
We were at the preview of the Apple Store at The Exchange TRX – Malaysia’s first Apple Store. Situated in Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), the new store aims to bring an unparalleled Apple experience to the country.
Apple The Exchange TRX seamlessly integrates with the mall’s central atrium and a verdant rooftop park enveloping its upper level. Illuminating softly at night, its innovative three-dimensional roof comprises horizontal glass panels and shading blades to temper sunlight. A central glazed oculus floods the interior with natural light and boasts dynamic artificial lighting.
To celebrate the opening, a special series called “Jom Discover” will run from Saturday, 22nd June, through Saturday, 6th July. This series will showcase some of Malaysia’s most celebrated creators, offering insights into their creative processes while highlighting Apple’s comprehensive range of products and services. The “Jom Discover” sessions include:

- Workshop on capturing portraits on iPhone with Jason Smashpop
- Spotlight on video magic on Mac with Adam Lobo
- Workshop on turning ideas into action on iPad with Iman Azman
- Spotlight on living well with Nana Mohd and Apple Watch

SK-II’s First-Ever Concept Store @ Mid Valley Megamall
We were front and centre as SK-II celebrated a new era of the PITERA™ experience with the launch of its first-ever concept store! Located in Mid Valley Megamall the immersive space offers a reimagined retail experience while paying homage to the brand’s over 40-year heritage and history.
As you step into the store, you’re greeted with stunning interior decor, each element with its own unique backstory, from the counter to the walls. Customers can also enjoy true Japanese omotenashi (wholehearted hospitality) with the SK-II Skin Ceremony counselling, which is guided by the brand’s skincare experts.

“Picnic In The Park” At Suria KLCC
We had the opportunity to experience this year’s highly-anticipated “Picnic In The Park” event firsthand, before everyone else! The event was held at KLCC Park and featured tons of exciting activities, including flower crown making, hand massages courtesy of The Body Shop, and makeovers courtesy of Gucci Beauty. The meals for the affair were curated by Burger & Lobster and complemented by delightful treats from the flaaah with ONO. Guests were serenaded by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra before the night ended with a stunning display of the Lake Symphony Fountain Show.
Of course, the experience is open to shoppers too, so if you’re interested in having a picnic at KLCC, you can redeem a place in this exclusive outdoor celebration from 7th to 21st June. Just spend RM2,500 and above in two receipts between the dates to be eligible for a “Picnic in the Park” experience for four people. We had a taste of AI’s true potential during our close encounter with Samsung’s latest launch of AI TVs. In a closed exhibition, we were able to see in great detail (both figuratively and literally) how AI can improve the picture quality of your everyday TV by transforming low-resolution pictures and videos into crystal-clear works of art. The brand showcased its “98” Crystal UHD” TV as well as their “The Frame,” where they demonstrated how AI upscaling works, how it can seamlessly blend into the background or furniture, and how it is the next trend in home luxury as well as a technological marvel.
Of course, it wasn’t just streaming; we sat that it was able to accommodate high-octane gaming, such as F1 and Halo. And to further immerse yourself in the stunning picture quality, you can have a lively piece of high-tech art that not only displays your precious moments but also becomes the cornerstone of your home theatre setup. And this is none other than Samsung’s latest innovation: the Music Frame.

Heineken Refresh 2024
Heineken Refresh made a triumphant comeback in 2024, and it was as electrifying as ever. The event featured an incredible lineup, including Brazilian world-renowned DJ Alok and local sensation BLINK, who performed amazing sets. The full house at Sunway Lagoon, with over 1,800 fans, were afforded an unforgettable experience.
The event kicked off with an impressive lineup of local artists, keeping the party alive all night long. Malaysia’s Top 10 female DJ MJ ignited the night with her electrifying set, followed by Mr. Yang and Ashley Lau, who took the stage together before welcoming the headlining DJs. The event featured an interactive live voting system called the Heineken® Music Takeover, introduced during the sets of Mr. Yang, Ashley Lau, and MJ. Using LED wristbands integrated with technology, attendees could synchronise or change colours in response to signals, allowing the crowd to collectively influence genre selections in real time. This dynamic interaction created a seamless connection between the artists and the audience.
