Weeks ago, we witnessed some of Malaysia’s renowned footballers go through a horrific chain of events including acid attack, robbery and battery. Many netizens have predicted that there will be a fourth victim yet nothing has occurred within the football community until yesterday (Wednesday, 22nd May), when Selangor FC’s defender, Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee’s home was ransacked with high chances of burglary.
According to the police report as uploaded on the footballer’s Instagram, it is possible that the matter occurred after Ahmad Khuzaimi left for training at around 2pm. He arrived home around 9pm and realisation hit him when he noticed his front and back gates were left ajar.

The national athlete filed a report at the police headquarters of Shah Alam district immediately. According to the statement, several precious items belonging to the footballer that had gone missing including his branded sling bags, Yamaha motorcycle and his passport. The defender also uploaded an Instagram story imploring his followers to keep out for his stolen motorcycle, “If anyone has seen a Y15 Movistar in blue with the plate RV1700, do report to me or any police stations nearby”.
Notably, Ahmad Khuzaimi uploaded several stories on his Instagram story in regard to this issue. The footballer shared pictures of how cluttered the state of his house is, possibly due to the burglar rummaging through his things.

As for now, there are no updates regarding the perpetrators involved in the case. However, Vice President of Football Association Malaysia, Yusoff Mahadi has addressed the cruciality of ensuring the footballer’s safety must be prioritised considering the fact that there were previous victims targeted in similar attacks. A few members of the association have suggested that these footballers hire bodyguards as a precautionary step.
Undoubtedly, this issue sparked reactions among netizens across all social platforms. Most netizens still stand by the notion that the entirety of this is sabotage and not a mere coincidence as previous victims are from Selangor FC. Unfortunately, that statement remains a speculation and it is yet to be confirmed by the police.
