In a world where social media permeates every aspect of our lives, it is easy for people to catch their partners cheating with their co-workers or with your closest friends, everything can be traced with a single click. Yesterday (Wednesday, 7th May), Nur Liyana Abdul Rahman better known as Yaana Lee, founder of Leeyanarahman.co took to Instagram, sharing her heart-wrenching experience upon discovering her husband, Muhammad Hafiz’s infidelity behaviour.
The narrative unfolded with a single screenshot, capturing a direct message from a concerned unspecified netizen. “Apologies, Kak Yaana. Your husband is a scammer. He even lied to people on Facebook. (He) even used pictures of (your) kids. Do you know about this? You should check his Instagram following, it’s filled with sexy girls” The message read. The entrepreneur responded with “Hold on, let me have a look!”, delving into her husband’s following list.
The subsequent screenshot only confirmed the painful truth painted by the netizen. Yaana Lee claimed that she was aware of her husband’s online activities for quite some time yet bore the weight of his online transgressions alone by having silently unfollowed him on Instagram. In addition, she bravely disclosed a prior confrontation over this very issue before their pilgrimage earlier in the year.
Amidst her emotional turmoil, the public figure pondered on the purpose behind her husband’s indiscretions, questioning the essence of their marital bond in the face of such betrayal. “What is the law if your husband enjoys ogling over random sexy girls? For what purpose? Hahah! What’s the point of having a wife at home?” she stated and apologised after acting ‘psychotic’ as she is currently in the early stages of pregnancy.
Her poignant confession sparked a wildfire of empathy and outrage across Twitter with user @/nuyenggg ‘s tweet serving as the catalyst for widespread attention. However, many netizens resonated with the entrepreneur’s statement, “A wife’s biggest test is her husband” yet the rest are bewildered by Muhammad Hafiz’s actions.
Despite the digital uproar unfolding, the influencer’s husband remained silent and no statements were made on his end. Even so, his actions speak volumes as netizens noticed his following list underwent a significant purge, shedding over 200 accounts that once flaunted provocative content.
As Yaana Lee’s story reverberates across the digital landscape, it serves as both a cautionary tale and a beacon of resilience for those grappling with similar challenges in their own lives. What do you think?
