Recently, there’s been a surge of young kids on the road. Needless to say, when four young children were spotted riding motorcycles on the road without helmets, the internet fell into a worried frenzy.

A video was allegedly posted on Facebook, showing four kids riding motorcycles, allegedly on the roads in Kuala Lumpur. However, that apparently wasn’t the only issue. Notably enough, they were not wearing helmets, and were going at high speeds on the road while overtaking other vehicles.

From the video uploaded, four young boys were riding motorcycles on the road, each duo sharing a bike. All four boys looked to be around the age of primary school students and none of them were wearing helmets. While riding the bikes, the boys kept overtaking other vehicles on the road, causing netizens to worry.

Additionally, netizens pointed out that the boys could very easily lose control as their body size was smaller than the bikes. A few also opined they might capsize. Luckily, the road user who caught sight of the incident managed to record it.

Said netizen also managed to capture the license plate of both bikes and netizens have urged them to submit the evidence to relevant authorities to prompt them to take action. According to China Press, the video is believed to have been taken on the 22nd of October, and happened somewhere in Selayang.

Apart from concerns, there were also netizens who have been mocking the kids. “The future, (our) national treasure,” one stated. Several also jeered at their parents, claiming “(they) aren’t even worried” and mimicking a mother’s defense of their kid.

From the majority of the scathing comments made, most seem be referring to the basikal lanjak case involving Sam Ke Ting, resolved earlier this year. Well, on our end, we sincerely hope authorities will do what they can to track down the children and hopefully resolve the issue before it’s too late.
