Our favourite homegrown ice cream brand, Inside Scoop, has kicked off the Merdeka festivities on a sweet note with the launch of limited-edition ice cream flavours for this season. By joining forces with beloved local household names Beryl’s, Secret Recipe, and Farm Fresh, the Lokal Legends range is based on these homegrown brands’ best-selling products in a uniquely Malaysian celebration of ingenuity and creativity.
Staying true to the tastes of the original products, the Lokal Legends range offers dessert lovers a fresh way to enjoy their favourite treats, while paying homage to the familiar tastes so cherished by Malaysians. This collaboration also marks the first time most of the collaborators will see their products transformed into ice cream flavours.
These include:
- Farm Fresh’s Choco Malt: The Farm Fresh flavour uses a homegrown edition of a chocolate malt drink that evokes childhood nostalgia. Topped with an additional chocolate malt crumble for an extra crunch, it delivers a warm, comforting experience that takes you back to simpler times.
- Secret Recipe’s Chocolate Indulgence®: Drawing inspiration from Malaysia’s favourite cake, this indulgent creation features chunks of rich chocolate sponge cake stirred in a decadent dark chocolate concoction, with swirls of creamy custard ice cream.
- Beryl’s Tiramisu Almond Chocolate: Combining the velvety, smooth taste of tiramisu with rich, fudgy cocoa and toothsome honey-roasted almonds, the Beryl’s inspired ice cream offers a new take on this well-loved chocolate treat.
Besides the aforementioned 3 new flavours, Inside Scoop and ZUS Coffee also have something special in the works. This collab will be launching on 26th August 2024.
