Uh oh! Looks like global star Zee Avi is not really pleased knowing that people have been using her song without her consent.

The Sarawak-born entertainer recently uploaded a snippet of a health awareness song that samples her 2009 hit “Bitter Heart” on her Twitter.

Disappointed with the fact, Zee Avi tweeted, “Umm guys, just so you know, when you do things like this, you need permission! It does not matter if you changed the lyrics, this is all intellectual property that you need to know.”

The “Kantoi” hit-maker further added, “You know these things are not done for fun okay? I have my former labels and publishers to go through for stuff like this! Please be more knowledgeable when pursuing things like this!” In another tweet, she revealed that this is not the first time she had encountered such situation.

Moral of the story: Please be more mindful when using other people’s properties. Plagiarism is not cool, guys!

“Only God can reward all of your good deeds. May we always be protected from this outbreak as well as from other diseases. Amin,” added Cahaya. It’s heartwarming to see the tiny tot looking happy and healthy in the latest photo uploaded on social media.

Earlier today, Neelofa took to her Twitter to share the good news to her fans. The celebrity-entrepreneur said, “Alhamdulillah, after 19 days in quarantine, Baby Sameera is finally back home. The results for the screening test were negative (coronavirus). Thank you for your kind prayers for her,” expressing her gratitude to everyone.

For those who don’t know, the 7-month-old baby girl was diagnosed with the disease back on 21st March, after having close contact with a family member who just came back from abroad.

Hopefully more coronavirus patients can recover soon too 😉

Dato’ Aliff Syukri recently posted a screenshot of his Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) application review status on his Instagram. Much to his dismay, it was revealed that he’s not eligible to receive the financial aid from the government.

Surprised, Aliff wrote that as an entrepreneur, the current situation has also impacted his business as well. The case is apparent as the overall sales for his product has shown significant decline following the Covid-19 outbreak.

“I’m very shocked knowing that my application wasn’t approved at all. I understand that during this difficult state, not only ordinary people are depressed, but as an SME industry entrepreneur, I was also affected in some way. This is even worst than the 1997 financial crisis,” the “Bobo Di Mana” singer opened.

He continued, “When this outbreak started spreading, my sales dropped by 90%; almost all businesses closed. I’m deeply saddened by this and I really hope that Malaysians can help the government to speed up the process to eradicate the coronavirus disease.”

Aliff further expressed his wish for the government to lend a hand to fellow businessmen like him as well. According to him, “Anyway, thanks a lot to my supporters who purchased my product – every little bit helps. I hope the government can reduce the tax for fellow SME entrepreneurs so that our burden will be eased.”

Aliff’s sharing has in turn received tons of criticism from local netizens. Most of them slammed the D’Herbs founder’s action in applying for the financial aid. To top it off, they argued that Aliff is already rich and capable enough. Thus, he shouldn’t feel entitled for the financial relief.

Traders will post their menu in these groups while people can browse the pages and choose which delicacies they want. They will send message via WhatsApp to these respective traders and runners will pick the meals up and deliver them to the customers,” said Siti Nur Hanani, who sells fried chicken on her online platform.

Puteri Aishah made headlines nationwide after it was revealed that she had tested positive for Covid-19.

Word has it that the Port Dickson-born beauty recently came back from shooting for her latest drama “Demi” in Scotland, with other actors, namely Ashraf Muslim, Ben Amir as well as Hasnul Rahmat.

The unfortunate news was confirmed by her manager, Iman Tang on his Instagram yesterday (Tuesday, 7th April). “Puteri Aishah just tested positive for Covid-19 an hour ago. Please pray for her. Please pray so that she can recover quickly. Stay strong Puteri,” Iman wrote on the caption.

Besides the “Dewi Remaja” alum, it’s also reported that the director of the upcoming TV series, Rahila Ali, and 6 other production crews have also been diagnosed with the disease. According to Rahila, all of them flew to Scotland on 9th March, way before the movement control order was implemented.

She further added that they had to halt filming and return home after being advised to do so. “There were no symptoms like fever and so on, it’s just that we weren’t really fortunate. What’s important now is our recovery. Please pray for us,” Rahila told Gempak.

As for now, all of them are currently waiting for the second screening test results. Hopefully everything will be eased.

The Facebook-owned messaging platform said that there has been a “significant increase” of forwarding ever since the coronavirus crisis.

In a statement, Whatsapp said:

We’ve seen a significant increase in the amount of forwarding which users have told us can feel overwhelming and can contribute to the spread of misinformation. We believe it’s important to slow the spread of these messages down to keep WhatsApp a place for personal conversation.”

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has been prompting social media companies to help combat the issue. A spokesperson said that this new implementation is in effect and will be in place indefinitely.

The Movement Control Order has disrupted the income of many families. Although, some of them can still remain afloat, quite a number of them are struggling. The same can be said for many professional organizations and even animals.

Some of you may know that Zoo Negara is managed by the Malaysian Zoological society, a non-governmental organization that survives mainly through its gate collection and sponsorship from individuals, schools and corporate companies.

Source: Ticket 2U

With the MCO in place, the zoo gets almost nothing and although the people working there can find a way to survive, it may not be the same for the animals residing there. The animals in Zoo Negara are up for adoption. If you’re already thinking of how you’re going to clear enough space in your home for a giraffe, that’s not what we mean.

You can help by adopting one of the animals by maintaining its annual food, enrichment and veterinary care. You will get a certificate of adoption stating your selected animal and you will be acknowledged in Zoo Negara’s annual report along with the amount of your sponsorship.

Source: Ticket 2 U

Zoo Negara Adoption package is valid from 31st March 2020 – 31st March 2021.

If you have some money to spare and feel like saving an animal or too, it would be great if you could provide some donations. A minimum donation of RM26 is required and RM1 for processing fee. To adopt an animal, click here.

How to claim your rewards:

Upon successful registration, you will receive an attached Ticket2U e-ticket as voucher(s) via registered email address. If you did not receive Ticket2U e-ticket voucher(s), check your spam/junk box.

Download and present your printed hard copy Ticket2U e-ticket voucher(s) at the Zoo Negara Ticketing Counter upon arrival to claim wrist band(s) and/or complementary pack, if eligible. Softcopy will not be accepted.

Kindly download “Adoption an animal e-certificate” at Ticket2U by key in your unique Ticket Number under the QR Code. To do so, click here.

How to Download E-Certificate:

  1. Open any web browser

Interestingly, some of her followers online have compared the 23-year-old starlet’s unusual look to Safiey Ilias, much to her amusement. In response, Sweet (full name Farhanna Qismina Supandi) posted a collaged photo of herself with the “Apa Salah Syinta” singer.

Both of her posts have in turn received significant buzz among local netizens. In this case, they couldn’t help but be amused with the “Titian Takdir” actress’ sense of humour. Others also agreed that both Sweet and Safiey indeed look pretty similar. One user even commented, “The only thing that differentiate their faces is the dimple.”

3 new Covid-19 red zones have been reported today (Tuesday, 7th April). They are Putrajaya, Rembau in Negri Sembilan and Jasin in Melaka – bringing the total red zones in Malaysia to 21.

Although there are no new orange zones, the number of red zones have been increasing. An orange zone is a district between 20 – 40 Covid-19 cases, whereas 41 and above will fall under the red zone.

The 21 Covid-19 red zones currently are:

Lembah Pantai (386), Hulu Langat (324), Petaling (296), Kuching (174), Kluang (170), Seremban (162), Johor Bahru (145), Kepong (116), Klang (112), Gombak (110), Titiwangsa (93), Kinta (87), Kota Bahru (82), Tawau (67), Hilir Perak (65), Jerantut (61), Batu Pahat (47), Cheras (45), Jasin (42), Putrajaya (41), and Rembau (41).

Meanwhile, the 19 districts that are orange zones include:

Meanwhile, 2 more buildings in Kuala Lumpur have just been placed under lockdown. Military officers were seen using barb wired fences to close off Flat Selangor Mansion and Flat Melayan at Jalan Masjid India this morning.

This rule was enforced after 15 coronavirus cases were detected from the building. The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will carry on until all residents (approximately 6000 staying in 365 residential and commercial units at both buildings) are screened.

Menara City One, which was placed under lockdown last week after 17 people had contacted the disease, is only a 6-minute walk distance from the 2 buildings currently under EMCO.
