Oh no, a fire broke out at Legoland Malaysia‘s Miniland last night 🙁
According to a TRP report, the fire broke out at about 8:30pm yesterday (16th July, Thursday), destryong a replica of Kuala Lumpur’s famous landmarks. A Johor Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said a team from the Pulai fire station was immediately despatched to the location after receiving a distress call at 8:40pm.
The spokesperson said there were no casualties in the incident and firemen managed to control the blaze within 20 minutes. “The department is still investigating the cause of the incident,” the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, in a separate report by The Star Online, Legoland Malaysia was closed at that time as it was after their operation hours. Legoland Malaysia Resort’s PR manager D. Deviga confirmed confirmed that there were no injuries and that only the Kuala Lumpur Miniland cluster was affected; the rest of Miniland is in perfect condition.
“The fire was extinguished quickly by trained members of staff and no guests were in the area or at the Park when it happened. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by both the Park management and relevant authorities,” she said.
She also stressed that the necessary precautionary and safety measures were being taken to ensure the safety of the visitors and staff members, and that the area has been cordoned off temporarily.
Legoland Malaysia is operating as normal today.
