While we may make our own plans, sometimes, life tends to drag us onto a different path. That was certainly the case for AV actress Ai Uehara (上原亚衣)!
The popular former AV actress Ai Uehara recently appeared on YouTube channel 相馬トランジスタ (Soma Transistor) to talk about her life. To everyone’s surprise, she admitted that she initially had plans to do dentistry before ending up on the AV path.
For those not in the know, Uehara debuted in the AV scene in 2011. At the time, the budding AV actress had only been 18 years old. However, Uehara hadn’t joined the AV scene for a career. The now-30-year-old shared that at age 18, she actually had plans to become an orthodontist.
However, she was in need of funding for her education. As such, when scouts approached to do some filming, she had agreed. But, Uehara claims she hadn’t been aware it was for an AV film initially. Regardless, she quickly rose to popularity in the AV world and at one point, topped their sales ranking list.
Still her AV life wasn’t always smooth. Uehara shared that at age 22, she had lost 25 million yen (~RM795 thousand) due to an investment fraud. This led to her studying investment properly. Currently, she’s running a male beauty salon after her retirement.
Well, it’s nice to know that Ai Uehara is still pursuing her own dreams after her stint with AV acting. The AV actress had once disappeared from public eye after retiring before returning in 2019, much to her fans delight.
