Thai influencer Arisara Karbdecho, better known as Alice, rose to internet popularity by cosplaying. She especially went viral for a certain photo of her in a Pokemon T-shirt which displayed her voluptuous bosom. With 1.5 million followers on Instagram, Alice was one of the most talked about personalities on Thai media.
Alice recently made headlines again. However, this time, it was for a sadder purpose. According to the media, the 27-year-old passed away yesterday (6th June). There are speculations her death was caused by her choking on some food.
According to Khasod Online, Alice had gone silent on her socials since March 2022. This prompted her friends to check on her. It was only then they discovered Alice had supposedly choked on some food while eating two months ago. Her bronchus had apparently gotten blocked and this prevented her body from receiving oxygen. She had been in a coma but passed away on 6th June.
News of her passing was confirmed by her elder sister, who added that her body had been placed in a temple temporarily. Close friends and family of Alice were able to visit her one last time before sending her off. Her fans however left condolences on social media, with many wishing her a safe and peaceful passage to the next life.
One of Alice’s close friends posted a series of Facebook posts, grieving her loss. “RIP Arisara Karbdecho, my little angel. When the business is done, I will find you,” she promised. “The two of us always took turns to encourage each other. I told you to get up and fight. Did you get up? My dear sister, Alice, I can’t stop crying. Why is the sky so mean?”
Alice once faced online scrutiny in regards to her figure. She exercised hard to lose weight and successfully lost 7kgs in 22 days. She also did challenges with her weight loss goal, such as getting 100,000 Baht (~RM12,761) for every 1kg lost. Alice also received endorsement from games and brands and magazine coverage after successfully losing weight. This also helped her become one of Thailand’s famous online idols.
Our hearts go out to her family and friends who are grieving her loss. We hope she finds peace in the next life.
