AirAsia Can’t Afford To Refund Flight Tickets To Every Customer

A whole bunch of businesses have suffered tremendously due to the Covid-19 pandemic and AirAsia is no different.

Yesterday (Saturday, 11th April), Tony Fernandes took to his Instagram to share that the low-cost airline is facing its biggest challenge yet, with pay cuts between 15% and 75% depending on the staff’s seniority.

Having said that, AirAsia remains one of the few airlines in the world that has managed to retain all of its staff during this difficult time. As such, the AirAsia Group chief executive officer is urging customers to accept store credit for replacement flights instead of pressing for refunds.
