You’re probably still in a holiday mood thanks to yesterday (Wednesday, 18th October)’s Deepavali celebration. Well guess what? We’ve got more holiday dates for you courtesy of the newly-released 2018 calendar.
Although we’ve previously announced the 11 long weekends Malaysians can look forward next year, this new calendar comes with the latest updates on the 2018 public holidays in Malaysia.
The majority of Malaysia’s public holidays are celebrated across the nation. Having said that, each state and territory also have its own set of holidays. As per usual, the state and federal governments are known to add additional dates at short notice.
For example, 24th April and 4th September were declared public holidays in celebration of Sultan Muhammad V’s installation as Malaysia’s 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Malaysia’s achievements during the 29th Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) respectively.
Without further ado, here is the 2018 calendar:

Do take note that several dates might be modified come 2018. Still, it’s good to have a rough idea when making holiday plans for next year.
