The much-hyped iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are about to debut soon.
And guess what? Pre-order listings for the new Apple smartphones have already appeared on Lazada Malaysia (through its store name DirectD/ Wow Phone). Instead of Singapore as many would presume, these new iPhones are sourced from Hong Kong.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are available in Silver, Gold, and Space Grey, and buyers can select either the 64GB or the 256GB storage option. As seen in the screen shots below, the iPhone 8 64GB cost RM3,999, while the iPhone 8 256GB is priced at RM4,799. For the iPhone 8 Plus however, the 64GB unit is RM4,599 while the 256GB unit is RM5,399.
According to the site, pre orders will take place the same time as the US, which is tomorrow (15th September). Unfortunately, those interested in iPhone X will have to wait another month as pre orders for that model only starts on 27th October. Having said that, it’s still advisable to purchase the new iPhones locally to avoid any warranty issues.
For those of you on a tight budget, perhaps you should consider purchasing older iPhone models. Apple Malaysia has recently reduced prices (up to RM450) for 10 iPhone models, ranging from the entry level iPhone SE to the iPhone 7s Plus.
