Oh lord, please have mercy on our hearts!
During Shawn Mendes’ “Illuminate” tour in Brooklyn on Wednesday (16th August), fans were treated to a surprise duet of “Mercy”. Apparently, Ed Sheeran popped up on stage while the 19-year-old singer was crooning his hit single. The 2 singer-songwriters wowed the crowd with their sweet voices and smooth guitar skills.
The 26-year-old British singer-songwriter, who was dressed in a pair bright red shorts and a flannel shirt, sang the 2nd verse with Mendes before they harmonised for the rest of the song.
“That was just as crazy for me as it was for you guys,” Mendes was quoted saying to fans as the “Shape of You” singer waved goodbye and walked away from the Barclays Center stage.

We wonder if anyone will make a special appearance during Shawn Mendes’ “Illuminate” concert in Singapore. “Sing! China” runner-up Nathan Hartono, maybe? :)
