Every mom needs a time out to go all out.
Directed by Alethea Jones from a screenplay by Julie Yaeger Rudd (the wife of “Ant-Man” star Paul Rudd), “Fun Mom Dinner” is a R-rated comedy that follows Molly Shannon, Toni Collette, Bridget Everett, Katie Aselton as 4 moms who are “mommed out”.
The hilarious trailer shows the 4 moms (whose kids go to the same pre-school) bonding over dinner at a quaint little neighbourhood restaurant. However, things take a wild turn when the moms smoke the weed they bought from David Wain and Paul Rudd. After that, they go to a bar where Adam Levine works at.
The clip also sees the fun dads (played by Adam Scott and Rob Huebel) get locked out of their house with lots of candy for the kids.
In speaking with Entertainment Weekly last year, Toni Collette said, “It’s so easy to lump them into a generic ‘mom’ category. But they’re all strikingly different, and they all go out on this night together with varying degrees of reluctance and willingness.”
Slated for release on 4th August, “Fun Mom Dinner” also stars “The Goldbergs” actor Sam Lerner and “13 Reasons Why” star Kathryn Prescott.
