Who’s that girl? Well, it’s none other Meng Jia 😉
The former miss A member just dropped the music video for her 2nd solo single, “Who’s That Girl (她是谁)”, today (Tuesday, 3rd January) and it marks her 2nd effort with new management company Banana Culture.
Similar to her debut single, “Drip (给我乖)”, the latest track is also produced by Brian Lee and Tushar Apte. The track is a medium-tempo pop ballad track which starts off slow but gradually picks up pace. It features the singer’s husky voice and she shows off her talent in singing and rapping.
Meanwhile, the music video is also directed by Tiger Cave, and we see Jia questioning her happiness at the beginning of the video. With lyrics like “Who’s that girl that’s looking back at me? / The one in the mirror / She’s strange yet familiar” and “I’m hollow and lifeless, I keep doubting myself“, the track brings us on an emotional roller coaster ride as Jia goes on a journey of self reflection.
Enjoy:
The singer debuted with miss A in 2010, but departed in May 2016 after her contract expired. However, she left on good terms with the members and the company, as she still keeps in contact with her ex-CEO Park Jin Young, label mates, and her former members.
