Pokémon fans are in for a treat, as the company has announced that an 18-episode mini-series will be coming to YouTube starting 16th September till 23rd December.
According to Collider, the upcoming series, titled “Pokémon Generations” will consists of 3-to-5-minute episodes that explore each of the franchise’s video games.
The official synopsis is as follows:
“The new animated series ‘Pokémon Generations’ revisits each generation of the Pokémon video game series to shed new light on some timeless moments. From the earliest days in the Kanto region to the splendor of the Kalos region, go behind the scenes and witness Pokémon history with new eyes! These bite-sized adventures, about 3 to 5 minutes long, will be released every week.”

Besides that, The Pokémon Company has also released a 1-minute-long trailer and fans can get glimpses of the characters and Pokémon that will be featured in the upcoming animated series.

Pokémon was first created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995 and the beloved franchise extends a wide range of spin-offs including video games, trading cards, TV shows (anime), comic books (manga), and movies that revolve around the unique creatures that are collected by Pokémon Trainers, who then train them to battle for sport or keep them as pets.
The first episode premieres in The Official Pokemon channel on 16th September.
