Just as we are getting ready to see Ben Affleck on screen as Batman, Warner Bros. released a set of teaser images to give us a glimpse of “The LEGO Batman Movie” before the trailer comes out on Wednesday.
Unlike the live-action Batman movies, director Chris Mckay stated that he will be giving a comedic twist to the grim character.
Aside from Alfred Pennyworth and The Joker, he will also be introducing Robin and Batgirl to join Batman’s side – just because he is too clueless to acknowledge how lonely he is.
“Batman is an island onto himself, the only thing he doesn’t have is relationships. We’re making ‘About a Boy’ as directed by Michael Mann (action director).”
Will Arnett returns to the role of Batman, following up his voice work in “The LEGO Movie”.
“There’s nothing better than a guy who has this super-authoritative, brooding, voice but also moments where he’s a bit unsure.”

The toy brick version of the superhero is already in production in Australia, due to be released on 10th February 2017.
What do you think of a funny Batman movie? We don’t know about you, but we are thrilled to see LEGO Batman when it comes out next year.
