If you’ve ever been to Bangkok, you would have seen or heard of this popular fashion café called the Greyhound Café.
The chic, urban lifestyle café is a line extension of Greyhound, the leading Thai men’s casual wear brand that was founded in 1980.
The first Greyhound café was a success because a few weeks after its opening, American business magazine named it one of “the hottest seats in Bangkok”.
Its popularity and success helped turned Greyhound from a hip fashion label into a cutting edge lifestyle brand in Bangkok.
It also led to the opening of 10 branches in Thailand, 5 franchised diners in Hong Kong, and another 2 in China under the Greyhound Café, Another Hound Café, Sweet Hound, and Ground-hey brands.
Recently, while we were out and about in Kuala Lumpur, we spotted something simply too exciting! So much so that we may need you guys to pinch us and tell us that it’s real:
That’s right, peeps.
It seems like Greyhound Café might be opening its first store in Malaysia soon. Of course, since there’s no announcement regarding their first Malaysian outlet yet, we can neither confirm nor deny that Greyhound will indeed be opening its fashion café in Malaysia.
We don’t want to give anyone false hope either, but a quick search on Google led us to this Instagram account:
Coincidence? We think not.
Most of the established Greyhound Cafés are located within prestigious lifestyle malls and department stores. As for the one in Malaysia, it has its own physical store and is located right in the heart of one of the busiest districts in Kuala Lumpur – Bukit Bintang. In fact, it’s located between Fahrenheit 88 Shopping Mall and Lot 10 mall.
As of now, we don’t have further information about the Greyhound Cafe at Bukit Bintang. But you can be sure that we’ll be updating this post with more details as soon as we get ’em so keep checking back with us!
