“We’re gonna teach this kid how to be a monster.”
We know that the above sentence sounds horrific and chilling, but it is not what you think it is. The endearing vampire Drac is back in “Hotel Transylvania 2“, and this time, he’s back with a grandson, Dennis, who’s part-human and part-vampire. Worried that his grandson will inherit more human genes than vampire genes, Count Dracula tries his best to “monsterify” (okay, we made that word up) Dennis.
Curious to see how he’ll do that? Take a sneak peek at the official trailer released by Sony Pictures Animation:
Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez will return as Count Dracula/Drac, Jonathan/Johnnystein, and Mavis. Additional recurring casts include Kevin James as Frank/Frankenstein, Steve Buscemi as Wayne the werewolf, and David Spade as Griffin the Invisible Man.
The official synopsis of the movie is as follows:
Dracula’s rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – “Vampa” Drac enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. But little do they know that Drac’s grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty!
New cast includes Mel Brooks as Vlad, who is Count Dracula’s father and Mavis’ grandfather, Nick Offerman as Mike, Jonathan’s father, Megan Mullally as Linda, Jonathan’s mother, and Keegan-Michael Key as Murray the mummy (who was previously voice by CeeLo Green in the 1st movie).
Slated to reach cinemas on 24th September 2015, “Hotel Transylvania 2” is the sequel to the 2012 animated fantasy comedy film “Hotel Transylvania”.
