Owned by a group of art entrepreneurs, the Artists Creative Cooperative is located in the heart of Petaling Jaya – a bustling township called SS2. The accommodation is a shared space at second level of a house, and it provides basic sleeping pads with pillows and blankets. On the same level, there are 4 rooms – 3 of them share the same bathroom. Also, the owners have stressed on the minimal privacy since it’s an open space with a movable room partition. So if you’re not fussy, this spot is well-suited for you.

2. Kuala Lumpur
Who knew that there’d be such a beautiful classic Malay home located right smack in the Kuala Lumpur city centre? If you can’t get away from KL, then book yourself a weekend at this beautifully renovated home which embodies the concentrated essence of the Malay tradition, decorated with love. 3. Pahang
The house is called Wogoxette Upstairs and it’s a decades old family home built in the 70s, situated in Cameron Highlands. Previously, it was a home to a happy family of 7 for over 37 years but now that the children are leaving the nest, they decided to refurbish our house into a vacation home for avid travellers who’d love to experience “homestay living'” in a quaint kampung setting. Everything is designed by the homeowners, as they are passionate about art and design.

4. Penang
If you are looking to experience Penang like a local, you need to be at the newly renovated heritage shophouse located at the heart of Georgetown. We absolutely love how chic and vibrant the interior is as it definitely put a smile on our faces! The 3rd street heritage shophouse is located in less than 5 minutes’ drive away from the Georgetown UNESCO site where there are interesting activities such as street mural painting, unique cafes, the clan jetty, little Indian town, temples, and lots more. As for food, well, we wouldn’t worry about that if we were you, since it’s Penang after all.

5. Malacca
The Stable is sublime sanctuary in the hub of Malacca’s historical precinct between Heeren street, once a narrow street fill with wealthy colonial residences and the famous Jonker street, which now houses antique dealers, museums, restaurants, galleries, cafes, and handicraft shop. Original wooden beams dances around and richly textured room of raw exposé bricks. The interior is a brilliant collision of modern to the baroque and to the local Peranakan heritage.

6. Johor Bahru
