Oh, are those wedding bells we hear in a distance?
Monthly magazine Woman Sense cited an insider who said that hallyu star Rain (real name Jung Ji Hoon) and his girlfriend, actress Kim Tae Hee, are planning on getting married.
According to the magazine, the couple has been contemplating on a wedding date for a long time now and has plans on getting married on 24th December in an undisclosed location.
The insider reportedly said:
They want to have a quiet ceremony on Christmas Eve and receive blessings from close friends and family.
This is not the first time that Rain and Kim Tae Hee are dealing with rumours about their relationship.
In April this year, the power couple released official statements denying rumors that they are preparing to get married by the end of the year, saying that there are no plans to do so.
Once again, the stars’ agencies have both strongly denied the recent rumours, with Rain’s rep saying that the star is currently busy with his world tour and therefore, doesn’t have the time for anything else. Much less a wedding.
Rain and Kim Tae Hee first went public with their relationship in January 2013 after paparazzi photos showed him out and about town with the actress. The couple first met in October 2011 during a TV commercial shoot for Coupang, the social commerce web company.
UPDATE (21st November, 11am):
Rain himself has released an official statement to address the issue. The K-Pop superstar uploaded a post on his official Instagram account which read:
Translation (via akp): “Hello… This is Rain, Jung Ji Hoon. The weather has become very cold.. Everyone, please be careful and don’t catch a cold. It’s just that up till now, many articles related to a wedding have come out, and it seems like we have made a lot of people confused. I’m uploading this post because I think it’s right that I tell you myself. Marriage is an important matter of life and it is a big deal for the people concerned. It’s a very important matter, and if we decide to do something big, I will tell you myself directly. I consider that to be my etiquette towards my long-time fans and to you all. From now on, unless I say so from my own mouth, please don’t believe (other reports). Thank you.”
Welp, you heard the man!
Meanwhile, Rain is expected to perform in Malaysia sometime soon as part of his world tour.
