For those who weren’t able to attend this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), the exclusive footage of David Ayer‘s “Suicide Squad” that was shown during Warner Bros. Comic-Con panel presentation at Hall H has officially been released online.
The studio, which took over this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) with a bang, decided to debut the exclusive Comic-Con trailer after it was leaked and spread all over the Internet.
This isn’t the first time that the exclusive footage of Warner Bros’ upcoming DC Comics film made its way onto the Internet before its official release. Earlier in April this year, the studio was forced to debut the teaser trailer for Zack Snyder‘s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” earlier than scheduled after it was leaked online. In addition, several set photos and videos of “Suicide Squad” have also been shared by multiple die-hard fans who spotted them filming some crucial scenes on the Toronto set.
A few websites including Kotaku managed to find the leaked trailer that was shown at the 2015 SDCC. Comicbook.com also provided a short description of the footage, which is as follows:
Dinner table. “I have the worst of the worst”, a man tells Amanda Waller. The DC Comics logo ticks into screen. Waller says she put them in a hole and threw away the hole. She references Superman. “A task force of the most dangerous people on the planet who can do some good.” “We have built in deniability” because they’re bad guys. Harley Quinn hangs upside down in a cage. Deadshot beats a punching bag. Killer Croc strapped to a gurney. Harley asks, “Are you the devil?” Deadshot grapples down a building. A hospital gets shot up. Enchantress sits in a pool. Deadshot calls themselves the Suicide Squad as the team forms in the street. Helicopters fire. Harley holds her bat like a shotgun. The Joker walks down a hallway. Harley strangles a guard. Batman rides the Joker’s car. Harley pops gum. Boomerang talks about crazy people. Joker’s laugh! “I’m not gonna kill ya!” Joker says. The squad walks down the street. Joker goes on, “I’m just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad,” with the most insane look anyone can ever have in their eyes.
Not only were fans given another exclusive look at Jared Leto‘s role as The Joker, they also got to listen to his voice as The Clown Prince of Crime for the first time. Leto’s version is said to have possessed a voice that is slightly more high-pitched than Heath Ledger‘s version of The Joker.
The footage also gave fans a good look at “Focus” co-stars Margot Robbie and Will Smith‘s respective roles as The Joker’s girlfriend Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
After debuting the the exclusive “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer, Warner Bros. has also debuted the “Suicide Squad” trailer online.
